Today is Earth Day!

I planned to write today about the things we can do to help make the world a better place, but my friend Gina sent an email that says it all:

"Hey Friends and Family! I just wanted to remind everyone that THIS Sunday is Earth day!

Please try to change at least ONE thing to help leave a better earth for your Wonderful children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Remember your children and grandchildren will LOVE their own children and grandchildren as much as you LOVE yours!!!! Please help make a difference!! J Let’s leave our planet earth a better place!

Here are some ideas…………..

Just change ONE light bulb to an eco friendly one – you can get them at Home depot

Use less napkins

Use recycled paper towels

START RECYCLING – Just call 311 and get them to deliver your recycling bin today!! It’s easier than you think!

Use only ONE glass a day over and over again!

UN-plug your toaster, cell phone recharger, blow dryer etc when you are not using it!

Wait to do laundry until you have a full load, that goes for the dishes as well!

Use cold water instead of HOT……

Take a shorter shower,,,

Always turn the water off when you’re shaving and brushing your teeth!

My big change will start tomorrow. I will walk my son to and from school from now on, instead of letting Chip drive him.
