My first wedding shoot was on Saturday, and I think it went really well. The bride and groom were just fantastic, and I can't wait to show them all of the images.

Apparently she had a great Valentines Day. Candy, flowers, chocolate, AND jewlery. And not all from the same person, either. Hmmmmm.

Cold Day

These adorable girls look like they are enjoying a beautiful spring day, but it was FREEZING outside. I felt so bad for them, because I certainly did not want to take of my coat!

We are planning a re-shoot when the weather is warmer, but I thought a few of the images turned out great because you can really get an idea of their VERY outgoing and cheerful personalities.

I'm looking forward to the next shoot even more now that I can see what these girls can do!

Vanentine's Day Surprise

I've been looking forward to today for months! My mom and I redecorated Devon's bedroom as a complete surprise today. These are before and after photos of the room. All of this stuff has been piling up in my closet and I didn't think I could keep it from her for much longer.

Devon will be here any minute. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We Have A Winner!

"This is J playing w/his "shooting guys" in his bedroom. He started his collection after a trip to Family Dollar after dinner at Dairy Queen in Schertz. Since Dairy Queen hands out ice cream instead of toys, we always have to make a trip next door to the $1 aisle. That started his great love of "shooting guys" and he has added to his collection ever since. I love the patience he uses to set them up and put away when he's done, but if he misses one they sure do hurt to step on!"

Zachary Whiteside, I don’t remember anything specific that he did, but I know that he was in detention at least 6 times a year…I wonder where he is now!?!

I believe that there is a reason for anything bad that happens in life. If you can have faith that God will see you through it, you will come out on the other side feeling filled with purpose and knowing that your tragedy, how ever big or small, was in some way, a blessing.

RambleBlog

I think about what to blog all day long. I come up with some great ideas, but poof, they're gone before I know it and then I sit staring at the computer wondering what to say.

What I wish is that I could have a computer in my brain, connected to the internet of course, and I could just cut and paste things I think are funny or useful right into my blog. Now THAT would be instant messaging!

I thought Prince was FANTASTIC during the SuperBowl. Old school, baby! If I could have, I would have cut and pasted a clip here of me dancing (ok, trying to dance) to my old high school routine to "Hey, look me over. Tell me do you like what you see?" I'm not embarrased. Not at all. I think you would all be impressed with my fantastic recall even if you were rolling on the floor laughing at my moves. Well, really all I remembered was that I DID a dance to that song, but thats impressive, right?

Speaking of rolling on the floor, I went to my 4-5-6 party night with my girlfriends on Friday, and literally laughed so hard that I cried. Big tears. Red face and messed up make-up. What is up with that? Does anyone else do that? I wasn't feeling that touched-in-my-heart kind of happy, it was hilarious-funny. It was "ha, ha, ha, I thought you said 'sh#!' when you really said pit" -kind of funny. Nobody cries at that.

It's bad enough that I cry at every touchy-feely song and commercial, or when I get mad, or one of my kids gives me a handmade ornament. Or when I see a high school band go by in a parade. I mean really, don't women have enough crap to put up with on a daily basis? Do we have to fall apart for no reason? There should be a support group for women like me who can't control the urge to bawl in public. I'd go.

OK, now the last thing thats on my mind for tonight. It's my current list of favorite things.

I love my new Schick Quatro Power Razor. Totally worth the money. You should get one and see what I mean.

I also love my Alaskan ULU knife. I use it every single day, on sandwiches, pancakes, vegetables. Almost all other kitchen knives are obsolete now that I have this one. Mine has a wooden handle, but now they have a plastic handled one that can go into the dishwasher.

Hmmm, I had another recommendation, but it has slipped my mind. I guess thats all, folks.

Coffee's on me!

The photo contest was a dud. I had lots of interest, but I guess involving the mailman was asking too much. So I get to keep the gift certificate for myself.

Kidding! I'll just have a new contest. Send a picture of your child playing. They can be in their room, the back yard, wherever. You have to take the photo this week, it can't be an old one.

The one I like best wins a $15 Starbucks card and will be featured here on my blog. The deadline is Monday Feb. 5th, at midnight.
